Position: Controller

We are a family-owned business recognized as a leading residential homebuilder and land developer in the region.

Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 base 10% Bonus

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Controller to lead our accounting department and collaborate with the CFO in managing financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to the CFO, oversee all financial management aspects.
• Lead daily operations of a two-person accounting team.
• Cultivate a high-performing finance team through mentorship and training, promoting excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Prepare month-end and year-end reconciliations, financial reports, and statements for multiple entities.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Supervise AP functions including subcontractor invoicing, vendor management, etc.
• Perform financial analysis to support decision-making on investments, expenditures, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with project managers and executives to develop budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze project costs and identify opportunities for cost control and improvement.
• Ensure compliance with policies, statutory requirements, and GAAP.
• Identify areas for process optimization and system enhancements to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Preferably, experience in the construction industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with a strong accounting focus.
• At least 7-10 years of accounting experience.
• Previous management experience is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with multiple legal entities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
• Organized, proactive, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, fostering open, direct, and positive interactions.
• Capable of working independently within a team-oriented environment.

The Controller position is located in North Wales, PA, and requires full-time presence at the corporate office.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
